Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women whose sole purpose is to stay sober
and help other alcoholics attain sobriety. The discussion groups that meet at Emmanuel Church
are open to anyone who thinks they may have a problem with alcohol. Our meetings are
posted on this website, and there are many other meetings available in the area that can be
found on the Virginia AA website: www.aavirginia.org or in a small booklet called
“Where and When” that can be picked up at any AA meeting. The Al-Anon meeting is for
anyone who has a family member or close friend who has a drinking problem.
