Since 1948 the Christmas Shop has been an annual tradition at Emmanuel Church. Townspeople and those from as far away as Washington, Baltimore, and Richmond have looked forward to the event.

It is an opportunity for them to meet and purchase from artisans, craftspeople, and specialty merchants who provide items that you would not find in other venues or even online, and certainly not all gathered in one place.

These exceptional items are carefully chosen to complement each other and delight our shopping guests.

This year the Christmas Shop is returning to its traditional location of Emmanuel’s Parish House at 105 East Washington St. in Middleburg. Instead of the traditional early November dates, this year it will be held during the Christmas shopping season on December 8 and 9 from 10 a.m.–6 p.m and December 10 from 10a.m. - 3p.m. There will be a preview event on Thursday December 7 from 6-9 p.m.

The Christmas Shop is the perfect place to find just the right gift for family and friends, refresh your home décor, or choose something just for yourself! Selected merchants come from the region and from as far away as Maine and South Carolina. Past vendors have offered fine jewelry, decorative home furnishings, original art, photography, stationery, fine clothing for men, women and children; shoes, hats, and baked goods.

The Christmas Shop is more than just a shopping event, as it has several goals. First, it provides these artisans, craftspeople, and specialty merchants an outlet for their wares beyond their usual channels. Second, a portion of all sales is shared with Emmanuel Church.

We use these funds to support the various ministries of Emmanuel Church including the care and maintenance of our historic Gothic Revival church built in 1842. Finally, we also share a portion of the profits with local nonprofit organizations such as Seven Loaves Food Pantry, Windy Hill housing, A Place To Be music therapy, and Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter (LAWS).
