A Place To Be was founded in 2010 by Tom Sweitzer and Kim Tapper. Our mission is to create community, belonging, and hope through music therapy, performance, and the expressive arts.
Over the years, children and adults of all backgrounds and abilities have entered our doors, bringing with them unique perspectives and creative abilities, and a desire to be part of a community. They have made A Place To Be what it is today. Here we strive for a world where everyone is accepted for their humanity, not defined solely by their challenge.
A Place To Be prides itself on our highly qualified staff of board-certified music therapists, expressive arts therapists and practitioners, a highly skilled administrative team, and passionate board of directors.
